This past week, I was in Atlanta and stopped by the Centennial Olympic Park to check it out. First, I was shocked to disco ver that it had been 17 years since the Olympics had been in Atlanta ( = sign I'm getting older) in 1996. The park isn't large but is decent-sized for a downtown park. It's a mixture of open grass, sculptures, fountains and something I'd describe as a man-made creek. I'm all for relaxing green spaces in cities, so it definitely accomplishes that piece very nicely. Here are some of the photos that I took on my point-and-shoot camera in the evening. The sky was a bright blue with occasional white, puffy clouds, leading to fun lighting, especially on the glass buildings.
